DOUGLASVILLE, GA (May 7th, 2014) – Having recorded numerous achievements on asphalt, 17-year-old racecar driver Mason Massey is taking his career to the dirt this year. The Douglasville-native will run in the Crate Late Model division at tracks around the Southeast including his home dirt track of Dixie Speedway (GA).

Massey will pilot the No. 15 machine with Special Olympics Georgia returning as a sponsor. The team is also introducing their new sponsor, Liberty Chevrolet.

“I am very glad to have Special Olympics Georgia as a returning sponsor because I always enjoy hanging out with all of the athletes and supporting them at their events,” said Massey. “But I am also very proud to have Liberty Chevrolet coming on board for this racing season. It is great to have a local company help out, and I look forward to winning with them. I would like to encourage all my friends and family in West Georgia to shop Liberty Chevrolet; please support them as a ‘thank you’ for supporting us.”

Liberty Chevrolet is just as excited about the union as the young driver.

“We got involved to be a helping hand in the community,” said General Manager Jimmy Tidwell. “We saw an opportunity in Mason, a good young racecar driver that has a potential future in the business. If there is anything we can do to help in his success then that is what we are here to do and we are glad to be a part of it.”

Massey’s next race will be this Saturday, May 10th at Dixie Speedway.
